Your generous donation contributes towards lifelong education in our local food system, healthy eating and sustainable agriculture.
At Sustainable Nantucket. we've been busy. This past year, with help from our donors, we’ve deepened our impact—bringing over 2,000 pounds of fresh, island-grown produce into school lunches, mentoring new local farmers, and expanding access to local food through our community programs. Our Farmers & Artisans Market provided a vital platform for 80 local farmers and makers to connect on a personal level with 70,000 island visitors over our five-month market season. Meanwhile, our Farm to School program gave 588 young students (ages 3-13) hands-on learning experiences in our farms and gardens—planting the seeds for a lifelong connection to local food and sustainability. Through this important work, we've seen firsthand how a single seed, whether in the soil or in the form of knowledge, can grow into something powerful—a thriving farm, a native plant nursery, or a family’s first backyard chicken coop. Every seed we plant today shapes the future of Nantucket’s foodscapes, local farms, and island community.
As we look toward the 2025 growing season, SN invites you to be part of our momentum and growth. With your essential support, we can expand our reach to more families, strengthen our important initiatives, and continue to cultivate and expand a food system that nourishes our island community. Help us sow the seeds of tomorrow by donating today. Your support is the reason we are able to continue important work in fulfilling our mission: To cultivate a Sustainable Nantucket island community by supporting local agriculture, food producers and makers.
With our deep thanks in advance,
Posie Constable and the Sustainable Nantucket Team
